Baseliners basketball team will be hopeful of continuing their fine performances in the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association’s (BABA) upcoming play-offs.

After a rough spell that saw the former BABA Premier League team drop down the ranks to the Third Division, a wellspring of youthful players are on the brink of turning around the fortunes of the club.

The team’s prolific small forward Gavin Robinson was the top scorer in the last showdown against Challengers, despite foul trouble late in the game.

Robinson experienced the rare move of going down to the Third Division to play for Baseliners after playing for the Combined Schools in the Premier League last season.

His choice has paid off, in that his presence has ensured an enviable 10-1 record to secure first position in the Errol Rock/Leroy Williams Zone ahead of the play-offs.

The young, promising team now await the post season, which begins for them on Wednesday.
