The Rally Carnival is a yearly event and is attended by 30 European Drivers and is set around several fun events. This year was particularly eventful as the 1994 World Rally Champion Didier Auriol was the guest of honor over the weekend of this premier event. Over the five years of the Rally Carnival, more than 150 overseas drivers have come to Barbados, bringing with them many thousands of supporters . . . but, never before a former World Rally Champion.

At the well attended awards presentation held at the Boatyard on Monday, Mayers and Ferri were declared the winners with a total elasped time of 58 minutes 46.99 seconds.

Mayers and Ferri in the Trivial Pursuit/McEnearney Quality Ford Focus WRC had to wait 12 months before they could finally claim victory after leading Day One of the 2004 Rally Barbados and unable to make it to Day Two despite a comfortable lead on his rivals. < Read more >
