A MERGER BETWEEN regional airlines Liat and Caribbean Star would be "one of the best things that could ever happen to the Caribbean".

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's meeting with American billionaire Allen Stanford, who is proposing a merger between his airlines – Caribbean Star and Caribbean Sun – and Liat, Prime Minister Owen Arthur said he would be attending the meeting in St Vincent in "good faith". < Read more >

Harris Paints Barbados Ltd has opened its new, ultra modern, spacious facility at Wildey, St. Michael- approximately 100 metres away from its original location. Chairman of Harris Paints, Ralph Johnson, says the new facility signals the gearing up of the Harris Paints team to meet the challenges of the millennium that could take the company to new heights. Harris Paints which was formed in September 1972 is positioning itself within the region whereby it has established manufacturing and distribution operations in Dominica, St. Lucia, Guyana and very soon Jamaica.
