THE BANKS INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY FESTIVAl, which last Saturday completed its 22nd edition, showed signs of recapturing former glories with the week producing satisfyingly high-quality standards of play on the field and a diverse social calendar off of it.
The Dominion men's team have made a habit of festival success, but their fourth title in five years was probably their most satisfying.
It was earned with flawless progress through the pool stages and capped with a thrilling 3-2 win over a quality Grasshappers side from the Netherlands in the men's final.

Social events are critical to the proper conduct of hockeyt festivals. Accordingly please be guided by the social activities planned during the festival. Be warned that games start at 9:00 am in the morning. The after effects of the case of Banks that you drank the night before will not deemed an acceptable excuse for being late. Also trying to keep pace with the ‘’Roosters” could be detrimental to your health.

The women's hockey team, in their first ever appearance at the Games, were beaten 4-0 by Canada yesterday.
