The Government Hill, St Michael girls won both the Under-13 and Under-15 Secondary Schools Netball crowns, defeating Queen's College 10-9 and Foundation 17-15 respectively. Springer Memorial also won the First Formers competition on Wednesday and last October, they won the Under-19 title for the ninth consecutive year to complete a clean sweep of all four titles on offer in schools' netball. The Springer Under-13 team had to come from a 4-5 half-time deficit to overcome the Queen's College girls. PRACTICE for the 56 netballers who have been invited to trials in preparation for the Barbados Workers Union's tour to St Lucia later this year will start on at the Netball Stadium. Players will be vying for selection on two separate teams.
