The Carriacou Calypso Association or C.C.A was formed in October 1996 with twelve calypsoians

The main objective is the promotion and development of the calypso artfom in Carriacou.

The first president of the C.C.A was Christopher Danjuma Mills who was the driving force behind the formation of the association

The C.C.A was able to participate as a separate calypso tent in the Grenada Carnival over the years and secured at least one calypsoian into the National Calypso Semi- Finals each year it participated.
	The C.C,A has grown in membership and now consists of some thirty calypsoians of which eight are junior calypsoians. That is calypsoians under the age of sixteen. The current president is Mrs. Virginia Fleary-Noel. She is working hard to put CCA in a top standing positron alongside other international calypso organisations.
	The band is presently preparing for a tour of Barbados in July and New York in August of 2004

Music of the Islands

Below are some of the members of the Carriacou Calypso Association

	Tarj entered the first ever Junior Soca Monarch competition in 2003 where he captured the title as Junior Soca Monarch King of Carriacou & Petit Martinique
Scorpio Hugh 'Hugo' Alexander started singing in 2001 some of his more memorable songs are 'Beautiful Lady', 'Foreign Relationship', 'Tallawah' and 'Too Greedy' to name a few.
	Andy Leftist Matheson started singing calypso as a teenager in 1987 and won the Carriacou Calypso Crown that year.
Marlon Noel 'Sixty'started singing in 1998 and in his debut Calypso Competition made it into the finals with 'Good old Days' a tribute to his late grandmother Free Music Download: "Peace" by Sixty his top hit song for 2003

'Super Flint' entered the Calypso arena in 2000, and secured 3rd place in DeMagra and 2nd in the Soca Monarch Show.

In the 2004 Competition he place 3rd in DeMagra.
