CARRIACOU - cricket
The bidding process is now over, all the matches have been allocated and now the real work is starting for Cricket World Cup 2007. This event is much more than a sporting event; it represents the Caribbean's biggest single business venture. The full tournament schedule for the World Cup, which will be held between February and April 2007, will be confirmed in shortly. The World Cup is due to feature 16 teams, two more than for last year's tournament in South Africa, and 51 matches over as many days. Both Guyana and Antigua will build new cricket grounds in time for the cricket tourament and all other grounds will undergo substantial upgrades.

In the 2007 World Cup games will be played in Grenada and 3 day trips to Carriacou for a game with a local team and a load of fun is being arranged.
