Cool Jazz Series 4 An Evening with Berklee January 2006

Chris Harper, founder, producer and driving force behind the Cool Jazz series, welcomed patrons and thanked the ever-growing list of sponsors. Caribzones is proud to have been a sponsor since the second series.

The first to be welcomed to the spacious new stage was a talented group of young musicians

Randolph O’Neale, one of the 2005 Berklee Scholarship winners, demonstrated the benefits of the learning experience as he thrilled the audience with his flute playing.

Penny Richards of the NCF took the opportunity to interview John Pierce and Greg Badolato, Berklee Faculty, for her Saturday afternoon show on CBC TV8

John Pierce on bass and Greg Badolato on Saxophone entertained the highly appreciative audience with an excellent set.
Greg was happy with the high standard of the local musicians

John Pierce introduced this year’s Berklee Summer School Scholarship winners, Kelly Ann Patrick – alto sax and voice, Dwaine Gill – trombone & violin, Reynold Price – clarinet, Julian Griffith - bass

 

Alumni Andre Woodvine and Chris Harper joined Greg Badolato during the second half of the show, much to the delight of the audience. A great start to Series 4.
