Jazz series can anticipate another exciting Cool Jazz series for 2004
at the picturesque location of the Southern
Palms Hotel. Seen here 'Miles and De Men'
Cool Jazz offers a stimulating blend of artforms including
photography displays to delight art lovers, fashion shows that are
sure to impress glamour enthusiasts. Musicians can also look forward
to the 'Crucial Jam' sessions and are being invited to bring their
instruments to join the jam on the night!
Chris Harper, whose vision and energy have made Cool Jazz a welcome
fixture on Barbados' musical calendar, assured patrons that many
more such occasions were planned this year.
The June show saw patrons who attended Cool Jazz at Southern Palms
hotel were treated to one of those special moments in music history.
Billed as his ‘first feature performance’, Miles
Robertson and ‘the boys’ proved conclusively that they
have what it takes.

What a debut! In what was clearly a world class performance,
the young musicians took great pleasure in dueling with their instruments
producing some breathtaking moments.
Miles is the glue that holds it all together, smiling encouragement
he drives his band past their boundaries...
