D'Illyria is a magnificent beachfront coral stone house originally
built in the 1930's and elegantly renovated in 1997. It is located
on the Exclusive West Coast of Barbados close to Royal Pavilion Hotel.
The beach is one of the most beautiful in Barbados where you can swim
with the Turtles. The house is built of natural coral stone in traditional
style with floors of Mexican Shell stone and pickled greenheart. There
is a large deck and a quarter of an acre of lush tropical garden that
leads directly on to the beach.
At entrance level, the main Living Area is elegantly furnished and
opens on to the spacious covered Verandah which boasts magnificent
views of the Caribbean Sea and wonderful Sunsets. It has a comfortable
lounge area and a circular coral stone dining table seating up to
10 people. Opening off this area is the Terrace bedroom which has
a beautiful Grecian mural and en suite bathroom. The large Kitchen
is well equipped with a large industrial cooker and fridge freezer.
On the Upper Level is the large airy Master Bedroom overlooking the
ocean. It includes a Study, a Dressing Room with extensive closet
space a Bathroom with double basins, shower and bath and a Balcony.
At Beach level, The Mermaid bedroom with its romantic underwater mural
has a dressing room, its own TV and en suite bathroom and the Tropical
bedroom where lush foliage in tromp l'oeil extends around three walls,
has a dressing room, TV and en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms have
king size double beds and lead directly to the garden and beach. Also
on this level is a Sitting Room/Den which opens on to the garden.
Staff:
The house is managed during your residence and included in the quoted
price is a Maid/Cook. A Gourmet Chef & Butler can be arranged at an
extra cost for those special nights if you wish to entertain or require
a more International Flavour
