Located centrally in southern Barbados in the Wildey Industrial area, Crucial Productions is a full service recording center with three rooms, focused primarily in three areas: radio advertising, music production, pre and post-production sound for video and television as well as tracking facilities for musical groups.

Audio Cleanup and Restoration
Crucial has an integrated collection of tools and techniques to facilitate the reduction of background noise, the enhancement of intelligibility, or the transformation of otherwise unusable audio into workable media. This process of forensic audio can be particularly helpful for legal or archival purposes. Advanced noise removal tools digitally eliminate hum, hiss, pops, or other repeating low level noises from your material. Restoration audio services can be the essential job-saving tool for both production and audio forensic work - call us for details.

Custom Music Composition and Sound Design
Crucial composes and arranges jingles and custom music tracks for advertising and other uses. Our resident custom composer, Dwain "Dwaingerous" Antrobus, produces all such material. Custom music is billed out on a job-by-job basis dependent on the criteria and scope of each individual project. Please contact us for details.

Stock Library Music and Sound Effects
Crucial maintains a continuously updated library containing the latest popular music and sound effects. We have a computer database capable of searching out specific effects, and assistant engineers well acquainted with the library. Our staff is equipped to source harder-to-find public domain pieces and to accommodate all kinds of unusual and unique music or effect issues.

Talent Payment and Casting
Crucial assists clients in the intricate process of paying talent. Session fees, use fees, cycles, markets, overtime, etc. are all considerations which require deliberation. Our staff endeavors to simplify the process and can undertake such deliberation on your behalf. We can provide one simple invoice for all payments and contracts to make it all more manageable.

Dubbing
Crucial offers complete duplications services for your finished project. Formats include recordable CDs, DATs, real time and high speed (bin loaded) audio cassette duplication, 1/4" open reel audio tapes, all internet/computer based formats (RealPlayer, Windows Media, QuickTime, MP3, etc.), along with 3/4" and VHS dubs. CD to CD dubbing is also possible. Contact us for custom formats or machine room laybacks.

Jingles are on spec. See below on contacting us for quotations.

Voice over and jingle talent costs vary. Current standard fees are $6.00 per second.

For radio, and $10.00 per second for TV. But they are subject to change, depending on what the particular talent charges.

2 sound effects are included per job, and are $25.00 for each one after.

*15% VAT is added to all prices listed.

Please note: Booking for studio time should be done at least twenty-four hours in advance, and cancellations are required one full hour in advance.
A cancellation fee of $30.00 will be charged if within one hour of booking.
