The verdant vegetation along the banks of the river is
dominated by the intricately buttressed Mang tree {Pterocarpus Officinalis}.
Watch out for herons, kingfishers and iguanas. The rowboats go to an area
where the river narrows and visitors can take a walk. or go to the bush
bar for a drink.
Head into the interior to visit the
Milton Falls and the Syndicate rainforest, located at the foothills
of Morne Diablotin the highest mountain on the island. This is the
area where you are likely to see the island's two endangered parrots
the Sisserou and the Jacquot.
A 15-minute walk to the viewing area of the spectacular
twin waterfalls.
Trafalgar Falls where the more adventurous (under the supervision
of the guide) can climb over the boulders to the base of one of the
falls where there is a great pool for swimming.
La Riviere Blanche (The White River), which begins
in the Valley of Desolation and is also fed by the Boiling Lake, creates
the magnificent Victoria
Falls.
This is another of the island's truly beautiful
waterfalls, created by the Sari
Sari River. The hike begins n the village of Laplaine about
one hour and fifteen minutes drive from our base.
This is one of the latest additions to
our tour itinerary and one of our most exciting adventure hikes. It
is a very challenging hike to one of the island's most remote and
beautiful waterfalls situated in Dominica's mountainous interior.
Beginning in the south eastern village of Laplaine,
Boli comprises
of three magnificent waterfalls with gorgeous pools, just waiting
to amaze those who are intrepid enough to brave the hike.
Drive through the capital city Roseau to the Botanical
Gardens then through the lush and verdant Roseau Valley, with stops
at scenic location, to Providence where our one and a half hours hike
to the Middleham
Falls begins. Persons should be in good physical condition to
do this trip. Good sneakers or hiking boots must be worn. Shorts and
T Shirts are appropriate.

for these hikes, due to weather conditions or if the company feels that
the clients are not able to safely do the hike because of various physical
conditions.
