Dominican waterfall hiking tours

Trafalgar Falls & Emerald Pool

 

We drive through the Botanical Gardens and the lush Roseau Valley to the Trafalgar Falls. It is a 15-minute walk to the viewing area of the spectacular twin waterfalls. The more adventurous (under the supervision of the guide) can climb over the boulders to the base of one of the falls where there is a great pool for swimming.


After the falls we drive through the capital Roseau and along the west Caribbean coast. We then turn inland up the Imperial Road, through the Antrim Valley to the Emerald Pool, at the base of one of the island's beautiful waterfalls within the Morne Trois Piton National Park rainforest.

It is about a 15-minute walk through the rainforest to the Emerald Pool, so called because it reflects the greenery of the surrounding vegetation. The guides share their knowledge of the rainforest and the wildlife within. Those who wish can swim in the pool at the base of the fall.

After the Emerald Pool we return to base.

Time 3-4 hours

Cost 1-4 persons upon request.

We reserve the right to cancel pre arranged agreements for these hikes, due to weather conditions or if the company feels that the clients are not able to safely do the hike because of various physical conditions.
