BARBADOS - Sandy Lane Gold Cup 03/04/06

	The Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup has been one of the premier Caribbean racing events for the past 25 years
	Many in the crowd were dressed for the occasion including CBCTV8 commentators Andrew Pearson and Jewel Forde
An Elvis impersonator from Ontario, Canada was encouraged by MC Mac Fingall to entertain the crowds
Prior to the pre-race parade Press Officer Al Gilkes retrieves the coveted Gold Cup from where it has been displayed
	A banner at the head of the parade declared it a tribute to one of racing’s most popular and successful figures, the late Bill Marshall

Then there followed the dancers and The Barbados Police Band

The tumblers and the stiltwalkers


	One of the stiltwalkers made sure that the Barbados flag was seen worldwide
