Polo was introduced to the islands during the colonial period of the 1800's, when officers and plantocracy would indulge in friendly matches. Today's polo is of a very high standard and fiercely competitive, as can be seen at any of the matches of The Barbados Polo Club, which hosts an annual calendar of regional and international matches between November and May.


Jamaica has several polo clubs including The Polo and Equestrian Club of Oakbrook and The Jamaica Chukka Polo Club. Matches are played every Saturday afternoon, in the season, at Drax Hall on the north coast near Ocho Rios.

There are fine properties available adjacent to polo facilities in Barbados and in the near future we will be adding properties available in Jamaica.
