The East Coast is renown for its rugged terrain and rough seas.
It has the biggest waves on the island and some of the most remote,
wide stretches of beach.
There are warning signs along most of these beaches warning visitors
not to swim, as the currents are strong and the undertow very dangerous.

this area of Barbados is very much less developed than the rest
of the island, there are few permanent dwellings or businesses.
Bathsheba is a weekend hot-spot for locals it is a perfect place
for a retreat.
