free>> peace doves Giant Peace Doves Giant Peace Doves “flew” last fall in China, at the Coliseum in Rome, in Ecuador and Japan, across the U.S., in England and South Africa, in Thailand and Canada, and in dozens of other countries—all as a result of Dr. Jane Goodall’s vision to recognize the International Day of Peace—September 21.
“The Giant Peace Doves are a symbol and celebration of the yearning for peace of the peoples of the world. They celebrate all that is noble and free in the human spirit,” said Dr. Goodall as she urged everyone to make and fly the doves in their own communities. The dove puppets, made of recycled materials were created by Matthew Hoffman and Robert & Kelly Cornett of Puppet Farms Inc. to commemorate Dr. Goodall’s appointment as a U.N. Messenger of Peace. Dr. Goodall hopes even more doves will fly in more places for the 2004 International Day of Peace on September 21. Join in this extraordinary worldwide event. Below are links to instructions on making the giant doves and smaller ones. Check out the Image Gallery to see doves flying everywhere.
