Hundreds of persons took the opportunity to sample Legends Export at the ‘Barbados Comes to Windsor’ event at Royal Windsor Race Track on June 14.

BARBADOS’ LEGENDS EXPORT lager was recently launched with a splash in the UK at the ‘Barbados Comes to Windsor’ event at Royal Windsor Race Track.
BHL’s Export & New Business Development Manager Ray Chee-A-Tow was there to witness first hand the overwhelming thumbs up that the brand received from the many patrons who passed through the Barbados Marquee. The branded display and sampling booth in the Marquee was a hive of activity even before the first official race was run at 6:30 p.m. Just under a thousand samples of the Gold Award wining lager were distributed over the three hour session. The response to the taste and packaging was extremely encouraging for a new brand entering a new market for the first time.

Besides the great displays in the Marquee, Legends in conjunction with the Barbados Tourism Authority conducted a Treasure Hunt promotion where more that 450 persons entered for a chance to win the grand prize of a week for two in Barbados including airfare and accommodation. Cricketing Legend Sir Garfield Sobers drew the winning entry and declared Kay Yearwood the winner.

Mr. Chee-A-Tow said, “I wish to thank the Barbados Tourism Authority and the Barbados Turf Club for giving us the opportunity to be a part of a fabulous event. It provided us with a valuable platform from which to launch our product and with an opportunity to the reach those persons who comprise our target audience.”

As a part of its launch activities, Legends Export was also a sponsor of Middlesex’s one-day match against the West Indies on June 23, at Shenley. The brand will also be involved in the Barbados Charity Cricket Match on July 4, in Kent, Middlesex’s County Cricket Festival from July 11 – August 1, and the Barbados Polo Tournament at Hurtwood Park on August 15.
