The Villages 2004 Tour, from January 25th. to February 1st. was a great success. Although a couple of the matches had to be cancelled due to rain, there was some excellent polo played at the island's three polo fields. Interest in the game has always been strong in Barbados and with the advent of Waterhall and Clifton being added to Holders, the sport is set to flourish.
Another polo facility, at Apes Hill in St. Thomas, is also under way.

The future of polo in Barbados would appear to be in enthusiastic hands!









One of the most exciting games of this year's series, which was won by the Barbados team, was the final at Holders where the home team snatched victory from the visitors in the last moments of the match.


The Florida-based visiting team was vocal in its praise for the fine mounts provided and for the high standard and fairness of play. They were also appreciative of the warm hospitality shown them by the polo club and the game's supporters.
