football 2006>>primier league BARBADOS - football archive -The Premier League Competiton 2004 PREMIER LEAGUE KICKS OFF The Premier League Competiton kicks off on Thursday 29th of January at the National Stadium Waterford with a double header at 6.00 p.m and 8.00 p.m. After the successful Parade of Teams and Opening Ceremony addressed by the Ministre of Youth Affairs and Sports and the President of the Barbados Football Association, the start was delayed in order that the Association would satisfy its international engagements as well as to discuss with clubs the revamped Premier League format. The Premier league has reverted to its league format in which all teams will play each other twice. The team with the highest aggregate of points at the end of the compeition will be declared the winner. The teams which finish 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th will be demoted to Division 1 for the 2005 season. The top two teams from division 1 will be promoted to The Premier League.
