D'Illyria is a classic coral stone house originally built
in the 1930's and extensively renovated in 1997.
Location
The house is located on the beach side of the beach road on
the exclusive West Coast of Barbados at Mount Standfast, St
James. The area is mainly residential although The Royal Pavilion
Hotel is approximately 200 yards to the South and the internationally
famous Lone Star Restaurant, 'The Ivy of the Caribbean', is
the adjoining property to the North. The beach in front of
the house is one of the most beautiful in Barbados and you
can swim with the turtles in the bay right in front of the
house.
The House
D'Illyria is a gem of a house built on natural coral stone
in the traditional style with floors of Mexican Shell stone
and pickled greenheart. There is a quarter of an acre of tropical
garden that leads directly onto the beach. The house is 4,080
sq ft on three levels and comprises
Ground Floor
Verandah. Beautifully spacious, including an extremely comfortable
lounge area and circular stone dining table seating up to
10 people. There are superb views of the Caribbean sea and
sunset. Perfect for relaxing in the evening with a few local
rum sundowners.
Kitchen. Well equipped with large industrial cooker and fridge
freezer. Also microwave and dishwasher.
Living area. Large and comfortably furnished with an extensive
library.
Bedroom 4. Double bedroom with an en suite bathroom.
All the above bedrooms have the latest silent remote control
air conditioning units.
Upper Floor
Master bedroom including study and sitting area. A large airy
room with king size bed and a magnificent view out to sea.
Dressing room with extensive closet space.
Master bathroom. Double basins, shower and bath.
Balcony / Sitting area. Large with superb sea and sunset view.
Beach Level
Entrance Verandah
The Mermaid bedroom. A large double bedroom with dressing
room, TV and en suite bathroom. The Tropical bedroom. A large
double bedroom with dressing room, TV and en suite bathroom.
Both bedrooms have king size double beds and lead directly
to the garden and beach.

Security
The house is totally secure with
attractive wrought ironwork and alarm system.
Staff
The house is managed during your stay and included in
the rates is a Maid / Cook.
A gourmet chef and butler can be arranged at an extra cost
for those special nights if you wish to entertain or require
a more international flavour.
Rooms and laundry are dealt with on a daily basis. Hire cars
and baby sitting services can easily be arranged.
Airport arrival & transfer
The tariff includes being greeted at the airport by our
personal driver in either a car or mini bus. We can also arrange
for some advance grocery shopping to be done for you.
