Congratulations Trini winner snatches histroic bronze medal

ATHENS – Trinidad and Tobago’s George Bovell III swam his way into the history books with a brilliant third place in the men’s 200 metres individual medley last night.

Trinidad & Tobago - Hockey

The official hockey season is from January to June however tours throughout the year can also be accommodated.

The artificial surface at Tacarigua provided the local clubs with a great incentive to raise the standard of Trinidad hockey. Encouraged by a Carib beer sponsorship and international exposure the August Hockey Games are now an annual fixture on the islands' hockey calendar.

Plus the Men's & Women's Pan American Clubs Tournaments are being held from 4th to 11th November this year at the same venue, Tacarigua.

The Trinidad & Tobago hockey team is probable one of the friendliest, most hospitable teams that you can find to play, combined with excellent facilities, year round sunshine and Carib beer...

Trinidad & Tobago - Boxing

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), was qucik to congratulated boxer Kertson Manswell on his gold medal at the Puerto Rico International Boxing tournament, Manswell, voted the TTOC 2002 "Sportsman of the Year" and silver medallist at the Commonwealth and Caribbean Amateur Championship in the Bahamas. He is the only English-speaking Caribbean boxer to qualify for the Pan-American Games. Well done and good luck.

Trinidad & Tobago - Swimming

SWIMMERS from five clubs in Barbados participated in the annual Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) recently held invitational meet.
The meet was held earlier this month at the Marlins Complex in Trinidad with teams from Grenada, St. Lucia, Guyana completing the overseas representation.

The overseas teams competed along with 11 swim clubs from Trinidad to make a total of 19 clubs in the fight for supremacy with Marlins Swim Club of Trinidad defending the team championship.

The Marlins maintained their strangle hold on the team championship finishing with a total 1276 points, while compatriots of the Tidal Wave Aquatics of Trinidad were second with 835 points. Pine Hill Alpha Sharks were the top performing team from Barbados, finishing in third position with 800.5 points. < Read more >
