The St. Lucia Bill Fishing Tournament is a three day fishing competition that is held every September. Participants come from throughout the region to compete for generous prizes, especially for whoever catches a 1000lb Blue Marlin. Fish weighing less than 250lbs must be tagged and released.

Many sailors are keen to visit the the 1,000 berth Rodney Bay Marina, but perhaps none moreso than the competitors in the Atlantic Rally For Cruisers! The world's largest ocean crossing race begins in the Canary Islands and finishes at the Rodney Bay Marina in early December. It has become a tradition for many of the competitors to stay over the Christmas holidays, so the waters of St. Lucia sparkle with the decoration of many fine vessels. Sailing is good year round but the warm waters and wonderful climate make the island an attractive winter sailing destination.
