Many people are aware of the Trinidad men's football team,
and its aspirations to world cup fame, but perhaps not so many are aware
that Trinidad has an excellent women's team that scored a resounding victory
over the Canadian club, the Oakville Vipers, netting 6 goals to nil at
their friendly match at the Larry Gomes Stadium recently. The players
comprised under 21 and Under 19 players from last year's World Under qualifiers
and their performance bodes well for the future of Caribbean women's football.
