DESPITE this week's rain, everything is set for an extremely competitive golfing weekend at Royal Westmoreland.
The three-day Beacon Barbados Open will be showcasing several scratch golfers, with overseas entrants coming from the United States, Ireland, St Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago represented by Carlos "Sexy" Baynes, the Trinidad and Tobago Hoerman Cup player.

The Trinidad and Tobago Golf Association (TTGA) is the
governing golf body in Trinidad and Tobago and was established in the
1960's. It comprises a membership of seven clubs:
Ames, who three-putted from 14 feet at the par-four fourth, fired a two-under-par 70 in the third-round at the TPC at Sawgrass to finish at nine-under 207.
That left him a stroke in front of world No. 2 Vijay Singh and sixth-ranked Sergio Garcia, who carded matching 70s playing together in the day's penultimate pairing.
World No.1 Tiger Woods rattled up four birdies and five bogeys to finish at two-under 214.
The Golf Course consists of an 18 Hole Plantations Course,
PGA designed to Championship standard & a 9 Hole Sugar Mill Course
(opening in December, 2003).
