which attracted a varied crew of entrants!

For some who entered it was just a bit of fun
and the chance to be a super-hero

Others had spent many optimistic hours building
large and complicated craft only to have their high hopes take a
plunge! |

to a successful outcome
as this contestant proves. |
One of the most interesting entries was definitely
the contestant who exhibited perfect form in catapulted flight!

A great day was had by all who attended, including
the little ones who took advantage of the occasion to play in the
cool sea.

| The Virgin Atlantic Birdman looks set to be an annual
event in Barbados’ calendar and there are probably some intrepid
fliers already planning their craft for next year, having learned
from the mistakes of this year… |
